Quanzhou City celebrated its Day of World Cultural Heritage on 25th July for the city on the same day of last year was added onto the UNESCO World Heritage list, acclaimed as "Emporium of the World in Song-Yuan China".
The celebration event was launched at the Square of Confucian Temple, and publicized merits and protection of its cultural heritage. At the launching ceremony, silver and gold coins in memory of the heritage were issued. Diverse events are held, including academic symposium, art performance, training and creative product show.
